Ohad Yogev is VP of Discovery and Cambridge Site Lead at ScionxBio (Eleven Therapeutics Ltd), where he leads the discovery and preclinical programmes behind xRNA, the company’s chemically modified, long-acting RNA platform for durable peptide therapeutics in chronic metabolic disease, built on the TERÅ® discovery engine. He previously worked at AstraZeneca and University College London, and holds a PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Long-acting xRNA for Durable, Combination Peptide Therapy in Chronic Metabolic Disease

- The modality: xRNA, a chemically modified long-acting RNA encoding protein and peptides, with durability designed in rather than added by the dosing schedule
- Durability: single-dose expression sustained for weeks; in NHP, peptide and RNA still present at ~25 days, pointing to a dosing interval of around a month
- Combination by design: multiple single-payload xRNA molecules combined at a defined, adjustable ratio and delivered as one product
- Preclinical efficacy: the four-molecule multi-agonist improved weight, glucose and liver function in obesity and MASH models, beating single and triple agonists and, weekly, daily semaglutide
